Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Seminar
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is an ongoing and systematic effort to ensure that social workers equip themselves with the knowledge, skills, values, and professional practices through continuous learning. This approach is crucial as the field of social work is constantly evolving and challenging. Therefore, social workers must continuously enhance their knowledge and competence to provide the best services to the community.
The CPD Seminar was introduced in 2023 as an initiative to provide exposure to social workers and practitioners about the need for ongoing education, training, and professional development, especially with the anticipated passing of the Social Work Profession Bill.
National Social Work Seminar
The National Social Work Symposium is a collaboration between ISM and the Malaysian Association of Social Workers (MASW), aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills in the field of social work and elevating the social work profession in Malaysia, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. Experienced panels are invited to share knowledge and ideas within the realm of social work. This symposium is one of the key events held in conjunction with the celebration of World Social Work Day, commemorated every March.
