The year 2023 witnessed a transformation in the mainstream agenda. The missions of Malaysia Rahmah and Malaysia MADANI continued to be actively promoted, aiming to embed themselves deeply into the thought framework and actions of not only civil servants but also every individual. The goal is for these values to become a part of everyday normalisation.

The MADANI concept encompasses: M: Sustainability (Kemampanan), A: Prosperity (Kesejahteraan), D: Innovation (Daya Cipta), A: Respect (Hormat), N: Confidence (Keyakinan) and I: Compassion (Ihsan)

This edition of Paradigma Sosial features articles on critical issues such as corruption, youth-related challenges, and initiatives to enhance the welfare of the people in the context of Malaysia MADANI. At the beginning of the magazine, there is also an introduction to training as a key agenda of Institut Sosial Malaysia (ISM) in leading the social sector in Malaysia. This includes the support and contributions from social and community development, research, and publications by other programme clusters alongside training initiatives.
